While the country sank in the middle of a pandemic, a movement of black rights matter and a need to break free and invest in a project about not being held down. Moving with the currents of our time and rising stronger as a result. Through collaborating with Alice Potts on this film it was possible to explore the salt remaining as a result of an individuals determination of their Art.
Cira Robinson, a celebrated principle dancer trained in her clothes and ballet shoes which were then immortalised with her own embellishments. Her unique sweat crystals are like scattered reflections on the ocean surfaced the salt within it. A drifting vision under a hand painted turbulent sea.

“Not only are the Aurorae visually supernatural, a recent study found they also emit ghostly noises. The dispersed particles trapped within the layers of our Earth’s atmosphere burst upon collision with the Aurorae plasma generating a radio static-like sound that can be heard on the ground. We created a soundscape to accompany our captured aurora using authentic Finnish recordings of Aurorae laid over the top of our film.” Lauren Bowker, The Unseen
“The Aurorae plasma is drawn from space, attracted to the magnetic field surrounding Earth, which protects human life and the technology we rely on. The magnetosphere isn’t static, and the magnetic poles are continually shifting. It is predicted that the Earth is long overdue a magnetic polar reverse, meaning the Aurorae may not only disappear from our visible field or reappear over our equator, they may miss us completely, disappearing from sight.”

To celebrate the arrival of Spring, London and Dorset based Flora Starkey invited a collaboration to celebrate life in Nature.Through time lapse footage and kaleidescopically lit still life scenes we put St Christophers place in London under a trance of rainbow therapy with a hypnotic soundtrack. This monolith of hope was displayed upon a cube of 4 large screens in central London. free for all to enjoy.

THE CHAMBER OF SCENT
This film was made within a custom glass chamber fitted with a special bespoke vaporising unit which allowed members of the public to step inside the immersive world of the Ermenegildo Zegna Scent Collection. From above projectors released the colours of each scent based on the individual ingredients and the formulation. The dancer Ben contorts and mirrors the shifting shapes of the vapour, awakening the body and mind.

An original concept film with Puma’s Innovation team and Lauren Bowker. THE UNSEEN manufactured a prototype track outfit which shifted it’s appearance based on the wind resistance of the athlete. A bold innovative idea where the outfit would change from pure black to a striking gold under only the force of the athletes own power, acceleration and nature. Each outfit could be tuned to the athletes speed. This was due to be launched with the Jamaican Sprint team for the World Championships but saved for a future event.
