DESIGNS FOR 'THE MAN WHO STOLE THE SUN'

THE STARTING POINT FOR THIS MENSWEAR TAILORED SHOOT FOR HUNGER MAGAZINE ISSUE 13 WAS A WILLIAM BLAKE SKETCH OF WHAT I THOUGHT LOOKED LIKE A MAN STEALING THE SUN. THIS IDEA THAT THE BEAUTY OF WHAT YOU DESIRE MIGHT CONSUME YOU. PIERRE THE STYLIST I WORKED WITH ON THIS SHOOT THEN INVESTIGATED THAT THIS WAS ACTUALLY DEPICTIONS OF URIZEN.

THIS WAS MY INTERPRETATION OF A CHARACTER GOING FROM ISOLATION IN A DARK AND LONELY STATE OF MIND, TO THE OBSESSION OF LIGHT AND THIS DESIRE TO OBTAIN IT. ONCE STOLEN HE IS EMPOWERED BUT THE SUNS STRENGTH IS UNCONTROLLABLE AND HE IS CONSUMED BY THE BEAUTY WITHIN IT.
